Qingdao Free Trade Zone · Sino-German Ecopark held a roundtable with enterprises from German-speaking countries. Representatives of 11 German-speaking enterprises from the Qingdao Free Trade Zone gathered in Sino-German Ecopark to exchange experiences and discuss business development strategies.

On the morning of February 19th, the commencement ceremony of major projects in Qingdao Free Trade Zone · Sino-German Ecopark for the year 2024 was held at the construction site of the Haier Strauss Water Purification Technology Industrial Park. 16 major projects with a total investment of about 7.3 billion yuan began construction.

In 2014, Siempelkamp (Qingdao) Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. was the first German-funded enterprise that settled in Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. In the past 10 years, the enterprise has grown together with the park by increasing investment four times, and it will launch its fourth stage of expansion project and achieve localization of production soon.

BWT Water Treatment Equipment Manufacturing Project, with a total investment of 60 million euros (equivalent to 460 million yuan), registered capital of 24 million euros (equivalent to 180 million yuan) and 51% foreign investment.

In order to further stimulate the enthusiasm of enterprises and entrepreneurs and boost their confidence in enterprise, Sino-German Ecopark held the 2024 Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone · Sino-German Ecopark Enterprise Development Conference on 5 March, to commend the outstanding enterprises that have made outstanding contributions to the economic development of the zone in the past year.

The 2023 Bayern Munich National Fan Match was held at the Bayern Munich Qingdao Football School in Sino-German Ecopark on April 1st and 2nd. More than 210 fans from 14 cities, including Beijing, Hangzhou, Dalian and other cities, formed a city league team, and played more than 40 soccer matches in 2 match days.

On the morning of June 9th, the new Smart Plant of BWT Haier Drinking Water Technology Co., Ltd. was officially put into operation in the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone.

The opening ceremony of semiconductor testing project of Wintech Nanotechnology and the completion of the biological vaccine and monoclonal antibody R&D project of Qingdao Yiwei Biotechnology were both held in Sino-German Ecopark, Qingdao Free Trade Zone. Both investments added new potential to the development of mayor industrial chains for integrated circuits and for genetic technology.

On March 21st, Dirk Fricke, President Global Operations of Diehl Controls, visited the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. ZHAO Shiyu, President of the Administrative Committee of the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark had an in-depth discussion with Dirk Fricke and his delegation on the investment and the plant construction.
