The Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, or Qingdao FTZ, unveiled nine measures on April 17 to support the innovative growth of foreign trade enterprises, aiming to promote the stability, quality, and development of foreign trade.

Qingdao has once again been granted a national policy benefit. Effective April 1, the stamp duty exemption policy for offshore trade has been officially implemented in the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area (hereinafter referred to as the "Area"). It is estimated that this policy will reduce the financial burden on enterprises engaged in offshore trade within the zone by over RMB 20 million annually. Qingdao is the only city among northern China's pilot free trade zones to be approved for this preferential policy.

On March 18, Yuan Zhuhan, Director of the Qingdao Maritime Safety Administration, and his delegation investigated the fuel supply for international sailing vessels. Guo Baocun and Wang Lei, Deputy Directors of the Administrative Committee of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area (the Area), participated in the investigation activity.

The Jinjun Yunda Supply Chain (Qingdao) Co Ltd, based in East China's Shandong province, has announced a batch of aviation products for export under the "9710" Customs supervision method for cross-border e-commerce, marking the successful Customs clearance of China's first cross-border e-commerce export business for aviation products.

China's first patent-intensive product insurance took effect in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone, as known as Qingdao FTZ, on Feb 22, setting a nationwide model for integrating financial services with intellectual property protection and innovation.

The Phoenix Register of Shipping (PHRS), a globally renowned ship inspection and certification organization, established its Asian headquarters in Qingdao Free Trade Zone (FTZ) on Feb 18, marking the city's first ship classification society headquarters in Asia.

On 30th October, the first water heater of the Water & Ecology Connected Factory, a major project in Shandong Province, was officially launched in Sino-German Ecopark in Qingdao FTZ, marking the completion and putting into production of the Water & Ecology Connected Factory, a leading enterprise in IoW, and the development of the smart home appliance water manufacturing industry in the area.
