Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone is located at the adjoining section of the longitudinal artery Shenyang-Haikou Expressway and the latitudinal artery Qingdao-Lanzhou Expressway. The latter passes through the Zone and has entrance and exit here.

The Zone is 57 kilometers away from Qingdao Liuting Airport, about 40 minutes’ drive, and 33 kilometers from the newly built Qingdao Jiaodong International Airport, about 30 minutes’ drive. In its proximity, there are two 100 million-ton class ports, namely, Qianwan Harbor and Dongjiakou Port, Zhushan National Forest Park, the Golden Beach, the Silver Beach, Tangdao Bay, etc. The area boasts great accessibility, abundant land resources and excellent ecological environment.

It takes 40 minutes by car to reach Liting Airport and Qingdao North Railway Station via the Jiaozhou Bay Bridge. It takes 40 minutes to reach Jiaozhou Bay Undersea Tunnel through Kunlunshan Road, Tuanjie Road, and Shugang Expressway. The metro lines including M6 which is under construction (Jiaonan-Wangtai; an L-shaped line that runs through Huangdao District; it will have a stop called Sino-German Ecopark.) and M12 (Huangdao-Jiaozhou International Airport; passing through Jiaozhou Economic Development Zone and will have a stop called Sino-German Ecopark.) both run through the Zone and will have junctions at prominent locations in the park.

The construction of the second undersea tunnel will commencein year 2019. It starts from the estuary of Haibo River and connects with Shugang Expressway in Huangdao District. Upon completion of this tunnel, vehicles from Qingdao downtown area can reach the Zone conveniently.
