On November 28, Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone was awarded as 2019 Smart Park (Village) of China at the 13th China Smart City Expo. The title is a recognition of the management model of IT-based smart city, smart ecology and smart life planning, and has great significance for further promotion of smart, green and high quality development of the area.
As one of the second group of national pilot smart cities, Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone actively implements national policies such as “Internet+government services” based on its own features and advantages so as to better highlight the demonstration role of the area and improve the level of planning, management and services.
In recent years, based on the CIM smart planning integrated service platform, the area has transformed from digital planning to smart planning, which has provided support for the reform to delegate power, improve management and service, better investment environment and efficiency of administrative approval, laying a solid foundation for the supervision of the implementation of the “one blueprint” national spatial planning and facilitating the development of the national land space basic information platform. Distant approval for planning matters was first realized here as compared to other parts of Qingdao. Exploration has been made in one-click smart examination technology for planning index with a view to providing stronger support for the development of a smart park.
China Smart City Expo has been held for 12 sessions consecutively. It has become one of the largest, most influential and authoritative industrial exhibitions in the field of IT application for cities in China.
