Nice to meet March 12 again！The plants and trees are growing green, and everything is fresh again. It is the time to plant trees and create more green land. Sino-German Ecopark has seized the golden opportunity for afforestation in spring and planted more than 300 trees of various types such as cedar, Taxodium distichum, black pine, white-barked pine, weeping willow and etc., with a green area of 4,600 ㎡, which contributes to creating of a harmonious and green ecological park.
In response to the call for epidemic prevention and control and to overcome the difficulties together, the tree planting activities of this year have been mainly participated by garden workers. Although not everyone could participate in the afforestation as in previous years, the persistence of organizing the tree planting activities is still of great significance. It is believed that the efforts to fight against the COVID - 19 epidemic will eventually be like our dedication to green ecology, which will magnificently become shady green land after wind and rain.
In the past 8 years, Sino-German Ecopark has planted 3,300 trees, of which the proportion of bird food source species is ≥36%, and the green area is 35,000 ㎡.
The increase in green area promotes the improvement of the ecological environment, and more and more birds move to live in the park. Today, the Heluobu Reservoir has become an ideal habitat for a variety of waterfowl. According to the statistics in this year only, there are 130 moorhen, 32 grebes, 28 ruddy shelducks, 2 grey herons and 1 egret.
Taking this voluntary tree planting activity as an opportunity, this year, the park will further optimize the ecological environment and continue to practice the concept of "Idyllic environment, green development, beautiful life".
Since its establishment, Sino-German Ecopark has always adhered to the green development concept of “Green mountains and clear water are equal to mountains of gold and silver”, and has thoroughly implemented Xi Jinping's thought on ecological civilization, unswervingly pursued the path of ecological priority and green development, and accelerated the pace of low-carbon transformation. So far, a total of 400,000 ㎡ of ultra-low energy consumption buildings have been constructed in the park, and 1 million ㎡ of ultra-low energy consumption buildings are planned to be constructed during the "14th Five-Year Plan" period. The park will accelerate the construction of ultra-low energy consumption buildings on a large scale to promote maximum energy conservation and carbon reduction in the building sector. Focusing on taking the lead in building a zero-carbon pilot zone and a carbon-neutral lighthouse base, Sino-German Ecopark will actively explore the transformation from an ecological low-carbon park to a carbon-neutral smart park with efforts made in urban construction and industrial development.
