Since its establishment in last year, Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” has sponsored and participated in more than 10 online and offline activities such as assistance to work resumption of German enterprises, exchange on intellectual property, promotion of German products and technologies and lecture on laws. Now, “International Parlor” is contacting some local chambers of industry and commerce in Frankfort and other German cities and has contacted over 100 German enterprises for their settlement in Technology and Product Exhibition and Trading Center.

On August 12, an event named “Reunion of German enterprises in 2020” was held in Qingdao. The representatives of over 40 German enterprises and institutions from Shandong, Beijing, Shanghai and other cities were present. This was the first large-scale Sino-German economic and trading exchange event held in Qingdao since the outbreak of COVID-19 epidemy. Mr. Shi Mingde, president of China-Germany Friendship Association and ex-ambassador of China in Germany, Dr. Althauser, Consul-General of Germany in Shanghai and Ms. Lin Shuyan, General Manager of AHK Shanghai were invited to attend the event. The sponsors of the event were Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” and AHK.

Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” inaugurated on November 28 of 2019 is the first to welcome visitors among all the “International Parlors”. Based on the fundamental advantages of Sino-German Ecological Park in cooperation with Germany, Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” has been striving to serve the German enterprises willing to enter the Chinese market and the Chinese enterprises and local governments willing to connect German market, by creating a platform integrating the functions of exhibition, promotion, road show, consultation and transaction and actively promoting the coupling of resources, the interaction and the exchange in terms of capital, technology, talents, economy and trade, and has got obvious effects.

To better serve German enterprises, Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” intensified its propaganda recently in Germany. “International Parlor” contacted some local chambers of industry and commerce in Frankfort and other German cities and participated in more than 10 online exchange activities organized by German chambers of commerce and institutions and contacted over 100 German enterprises for their settlement in the Product Trading Center. Mr. Peter Tichauer also published a special report presenting Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” on Steel and Technology, a main periodical of German metal industry.

As the epidemic prevention and control has become normal, Qingdao Germany “International Parlor” will hold more activities to promote the exchanges between Chinese and German enterprises, among German enterprises themselves and between German enterprises and Chinese public.

“In late September of 2020, we plan to organize an event of Qingdao German Enterprises Public Day.” presented Mr. Zhao Wei, Chairman of Sino-German (Qingdao) International Parlor Development Co., Ltd. This event will gather a number of Germen enterprises for centralized exhibition, let Qingdao residents come close to German enterprises and enhance the understanding among German enterprises. In addition, the 6th Qingdao German Wine Festival is in preparation and will build up a high-level platform of exchange and cooperation.
