In order to strengthen the epidemic control emergency preparedness on construction sites and the self-protection awareness of construction workers, Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone Administrative Committee organized a drill at Projects 1-5 of Sino-German Future City on the morning of February 28.

Twenty-eight people from organizations responsible for investment, construction and supervision participated in the exercise acting roles in four teams in charge of steering, emergency response, oversight, disinfection respectively. In the drill, a worker was found to have fever at the entrance of the construction site. The general command immediately declared the state of emergency and personnel of various teams swiftly started to work together in accordance with their respective duty. They also reported the information to superior authority timely, sent the suspected case to the hospital and conducted thorough disinfection on the site.
The drill has tested the effectiveness of the contingency plan for epidemic control at construction site and strengthened the abilities of emergency response and safety protection through teamwork.
