On January 8, 2020, Intelligent Manufacturing Industrial Chain Business Promotion Seminar & Suppliers Conference was successfully held in Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone. Xu Haijie, deputy director of the Administrative Committee of the zone and Liu Xiaobo, director of global supply chain of the cleaning business of Haier Group, as well as representatives from over 100 famous companies from across the world attended the event.

The event has provided global intelligent manufacturing companies with a platform of exchanges based on the existing industrial system in QIECZ. It helps to improve the intelligent manufacturing industrial chain upstream and downstream, and to make the environment more enabling for the industry, so as to create an industrial cluster in Qingdao and spearhead the growth of companies in this sector.

A “4+N” industrial system of intelligent manufacturing, life and health, new energy and new materials, and high-end equipment manufacturing has been established in QIECZ. Intelligent manufacturing is an important part of the system. At present, the first Haier connected factory for maglev central air conditioning and the project of Continental, a Fortune Global 500 company from Germany, have been established. High-end innovation platforms such as Deutsch-Chinesische Institut für angewandte Forschung und Promotion have been set up to bolster the intelligent manufacturing industrial chain in the zone.
