At the 13th China-Japan Comprehensive Forum on Energy Saving and Environmental Protection held on December 8, 2019 at Tokyo,Japan, Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone inked contracts with Mitsubishi Jisho Sekkei Inc. and Nomura Research Institute over a comprehensive research and concept plan cooperation of Qingdao Sino- Japan Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Industrial Park. Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone also signed agreements with Mizuho Bank of Japan and Mizuho Bank (China) Co Ltd on the investment invitation cooperation of Qingdao Sino- Japan Energy Saving and Environmental Protection Industrial Park, which mark a new progress in the construction of the energy saving and environmental protection industrial park.

Promotion Conference for Deepening Opening-up and Cooperation between Shandong of China andJapanwas held at Tokyo on December 6, 2019. Over 500 celebrities from Shandong Province andJapantalked about friendship, present cooperation and prospects. Cooperation projects of Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone were signed on site at the conference.
