In the first quarter of 2022, Shandong Province achieved a GDP of 1,992.68 billion yuan, ranking among the top three in the country, which was increased by 5.2% on a year-on-year basis, 0.4% higher than the national average. The primary industry of the province achieved an added value of 73.71 billion yuan, which was increased by 5.9% on a year-on-year basis. The secondary industry achieved an added value of 790.96 billion yuan, which was increased by 4.8% on a year-on-year basis. The tertiary industry achieved an added value of 1,128.01 billion yuan, which was increased by 5.4% on a year-on-year basis. The proportion of the three industrial structures was adjusted to 3.7:39.7:56.6, and the economic structure continued to be adjusted and optimized. Among them, the tertiary industry, which was dominated by fixed asset investment, retail sales of consumer goods, foreign trade, and above-scale service industries, still accounted for the highest proportion of the economy of Shandong and was an important engine to promote the steady recovery of the whole province. The added value of the secondary industry mainly composed of industrial enterprises above designated size accounted for the second largest proportion of the economy of the province, which was 1.4% higher than that of the tertiary industry. Last but not least, the agricultural sector had a significant advantage.
