On November 28, Qingdao Sino-German International Business Hub was launched in Sino-German Ecopark. Ten German-invested projects with a total investment of 1.07 billion Euros were signed. Qingdao Sino-German International Business Hub, as a platform for investment promotion and talent recruitment as well as business exhibition and exchanges, is expected to promote Qingdao’s opening-up and forge a new Belt and Road international cooperation platform, thus propelling the high-quality development of Qingdao and Shandong and scoring new achievement in opening-up.
Wang Qingxian, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Shandong Committee and Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Committee presented certificates of appointment to Professor Schmidt from Jacobs University Bremen, who is also an expert on China’s Recruitment Program of Global Experts, and Professor Herzog, member of ACATECH.
Ten German-invested projects with a total investment of 1.07 billion Euros were signed at the ceremony, covering high-end equipment, smart manufacturing, commodity trading, education and training, etc., adding new vitality for high-quality development the park.
What is Qingdao Sino-German International Business Hub?
Qingdao Sino-German International Business Hub is located at the commercial and trade core area of Sino-German Ecopark. With an area of about 78,000 m2, it is positioned as a hub for international cooperation and a showcase of the eco-conservation, dynamism and fashion of the city. It mainly consists of three areas along one axis, namely the introduction and reception area, the exhibition and exchanges area and the commercial service area, thus providing comprehensive support for Sino-German exchanges and cooperation.

A platform for exchanges and cooperation with Germany, introduction and promotion of talent and policy; facilities including the Experience Pavilion, the Passive House Experience Center, the Doctor’s Estate have already been put into use.

A space for reception, business meetings and exhibitions; the German technology and product trading platform and theGreen Pavilion have already been put into use; the German Pavilion of the International Horticultural Expo is being relocated here and will be opened in July next year.

Commercial Service Area
Functions such as project service, investment promotion, etc.; the German Enterprise Center, Inter City Hotel under Steigenberger—the third largest chain hotel in Germany, International Innovation and Creativity Center and the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center are completed and put into operation.
