The 8th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was successfully held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area ("SDPFTZ Qingdao Area") organized a delegation comprising 120 procurement enterprises and 335 professionals to participate, securing intended procurement of $363 million—its highest procurement value achieved by the SDPFTZ Qingdao Area delegation in the history of its participation.
This edition of CIIE attracted participation from 155 countries, regions, and international organizations, featuring 4,108 overseas exhibitors, with a total exhibition area exceeding 430,000 square meters. Through meticulous advance planning and preparation, the SDPFTZ Qingdao Area delegation significantly expanded its size compared to previous years. During this edition of CIIE, SDPFTZ Qingdao Area procurement enterprises engaged in extensive business negotiations. Their procurement spanned multiple sectors, including food, beverages, nutritional supplements, and cosmetics, demonstrating a more diversified procurement structure and a higher level of international collaboration. This fully underscores the commitment of SDPFTZ Qingdao Area enterprises to expanding international cooperation channels and deepening connections with premium international resources.
Notably, several SDPFTZ Qingdao Area enterprises showcased their latest products and technologies at this edition of CIIE, highlighting their open and innovative approach and international vision for deeper integration into the global market.

As a familiar participant for six consecutive years, Qingdao SGEFINDER Trading Co., Ltd. made a joint appearance with four partner brands – Benediktiner, Flensburger, Warsteiner, and tetesept, to showcase a diverse range of high-quality products spanning beverages, food, and health products, attracting buyers for negotiations.
In addition, Qingdao Buyilehu Supply Chain Co., Ltd. made its CIIE debut in partnership with the renowned Canadian nutritional brand, D-sorb, introducing several innovative nutritional and health products, which garnered significant attention from domestic and international buyers.
In recent years, the CIIE has become a crucial platform for the SDPFTZ Qingdao Area to deepen its opening-up and promote industrial upgrading. SDPFTZ Qingdao Area continuously leverages the spillover effects of the CIIE, encouraging enterprises within its jurisdiction to strengthen international cooperation, expand import channels, and optimize the trade structure, thereby contributing to building a new high-level open economy hub.
In the first nine months of 2025, SDPFTZ Qingdao Area recorded a total foreign trade import and export value of RMB 136.14 billion, with trade scale steadily expanding. Exports reached RMB 56.15 billion, a year-on-year increase of 9.1%, maintaining robust growth momentum amidst a complex international economic and trade environment.
