On March 21st, Dirk Fricke, President Global Operations of Diehl Controls, visited the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark. ZHAO Shiyu, President of the Administrative Committee of the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark had an in-depth discussion with Dirk Fricke and his delegation on the investment and the plant construction.

During the discussion, Fricke told, the environment, the corporate services and the construction progress of the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark are impressive.  He is very optimistic about the Chinese market, Fricke added. In the future, Diehl Group will further strengthen the cooperation with the Sino-German Ecopark and the Haier Group, increase its investment and extend the Group's business in China.

On March 22nd, ZHANG Yunqing, Deputy President of the Administrative Committee of the Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark, accompanied Fricke and the delegation to visit the park to get a better impression on the investment environment and to inspect the reconstruction progress of the  two auto parts plants 9# and 10# in the Park, leased by Diehl Group. At present, 60% of the reconstruction has been completed and there is a noticeable rebuilding progress. The plant is expected to be put into operation in the second half of 2023.

Currently under construction, Diehl Controls (Qingdao) Co., Ltd. is invested by the world-laeading multinational company Diehl Group. With a total investment of about 40 million US-Dollar the company builds five lines for the production and assembly of electronic control panels. The first phase of the project will have an annual output of 500 million RMB and provide electronic controllers and panel systems for Haier and other brand manufacturers of household appliances, which are an important part of Qingdaos efforts to build a global first-class high-end intelligent home appliance manufacturing demonstration base.

The cooperation agreement for the "Diehl Controls Production Base in Qingdao" was signed by the Qingdao Free Trade Zone·Sino-German Ecopark and the Diehl Controls (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. in February 2022 during a special online event.
