On August 28, Ruan Hongtai, Secretary of the Bắc Ninh Provincial Party Committee of Vietnam, headed a delegation to visit Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone to learn experience in the construction and operation of free‑trade zones, and discuss practical cooperation in fields including joint park development, electronic technology and cross‑border investment. Gao Shanwu, Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area and Director of the Administrative Committee of Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone, accompanied the visit and held talks.

Gao Shanwu extended a welcome to the guests and briefly introduced the construction, operation and development of Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone. He noted that Bắc Ninh Province is a key hub for the electronic information industry in northern Vietnam. The two sides enjoy high industrial compatibility and a solid foundation for cooperation. At present, Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone is thoroughly implementing the upgrading strategy for pilot free‑trade zones. Relying on the comprehensive offshore service port platform, it supports more enterprises in expanding overseas business. It is expected that both sides will deepen mutual learning of experience, empower enterprises on both sides to explore markets, and set a positive example for deepening China‑Vietnam friendly cooperation.

Ruan Hongtai spoke highly of the achievements made by Qingdao Pilot Free Trade Zone in institutional innovation, industrial cultivation and park development. He stated that the practical outcomes of the Zone carry important demonstration and reference value. He hoped to systematically learn advanced experience, deepen exchanges and sharing, translate such experience into local practices and deliver tangible results. He also looked forward to both sides giving full play to respective strengths, building closer cooperative ties in upstream‑downstream industrial chain alignment and coordinated supply‑chain support, and jointly opening up a new chapter of mutually‑beneficial win‑win cooperation.

Song Tiantian, Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of the Municipal Party Committee, together with responsible officials from relevant departments of the Zone and enterprises, attended the event.
