Sino-German forum highlights cooperation opportunities
2026-06-18

A China-Germany business forum held in Qingdao, Shandong province, on June 16, brought together more than 50 senior representatives from government agencies and multinational companies to explore new opportunities for bilateral cooperation.

The Localization Development Roundtable of Sino-German Multinational Corporations is a featured event of the 7th Qingdao Multinationals Summit.

During the event, officials from the Sino-German Eco-Park in Qingdao presented the park's industrial planning, international investor services, talent support policies, and localized supply-chain resources. The presentation highlighted the park's dual role in facilitating German investment in China and supporting Chinese enterprises expanding into European markets.

Representatives from Germany's North Rhine-Westphalia also introduced regional industrial strengths, investment policies, and cooperation opportunities for Chinese enterprises.

The core of the roundtable featured deep-dive discussions on corporate localization strategies, compliance management, and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) practices. Executives from leading German companies, including Bosch, Evonik, Infineon and TÜV Rheinland, exchanged views with Chinese business leaders on aligning operational standards and strengthening supply chain resilience across both markets.

Since its establishment in 2010, the Sino-German Eco-Park has attracted 78 enterprises from German-speaking countries. In 2025 alone, eight new German-speaking enterprises settled in the park, bringing the total investment there to $556 million.

Covering sectors such as advanced manufacturing, green energy, intelligent equipment and automotive components, the park has become an important carrier for China-Germany industrial cooperation and technological exchange.
