Recently, the 2025 World Cities Day China Observance was held in Chongqing. During the concurrent Mayors' Forum on High-Quality Urban Development in the New Era (2025 · Chongqing), Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark was recognized for its outstanding practice in green development and included in the 2025 China International Eco-City Development Research and Outlook report, serving as a forward-looking, practical example for international eco-city development.

As China's first Sino-German cooperation demonstration park named for "ecology," Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark has, since its launch in July 2013, been implementing the principles of "beauty in ecology, production, and life," guided by the vision of "pastoral environment, green development, and good life." The park is committed to developing a replicable "low-carbon model" in new industrialization, new urbanization, and comprehensive rural revitalization, establishing a global benchmark for green and thriving community development.
In recent years, Qingdao Sino-German Ecopark has emerged as a leading pioneer in advancing the "dual carbon" goals through diverse and multi-dimensional initiatives. It also provides solutions for global sustainable urban-rural integration by combining an international perspective with local characteristics.
