On September 3, the Korea Resource Matching Event of Qingdao West Coast Product Selection Center was successfully held in the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area. Co-organized by the Qingdao Representative Office of Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA Qingdao Korea Trade Center), Jeju Provincial Government of the Republic of Korea, Douyin E-commerce Global Shopping and West Coast Bonded Logistics Center, the event aims to build a two-way docking platform, promote precise supply-demand matching between Qingdao enterprises and Korean business groups, and expand two-way trade channels. Ryu Changsu, Consul General of the Republic of Korea in Qingdao, Gao Shanwu, Deputy Secretary of the Working Committee of Qingdao West Coast New Area and Director of the Administrative Committee of China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area, and Kim Yunhui, Director of KOTRA Qingdao Korea Trade Center attended the event.

More than 60 Korean enterprises, nearly 30 Douyin merchants and influencers, and over 30 import purchasers participated in this event. Adopting the model of "offline negotiation + online promotion", the event carried out featured activities including policy briefings, influencer product selection and live-streaming sales simultaneously. Nearly 200 exhibits covered many popular consumer categories such as cosmetics, food and daily necessities. With active coordination and efficient support from relevant departments of the zone, precise resource matching and efficient two-way docking were achieved.

Qingdao West Coast Product Selection Center is jointly built by KOTRA Qingdao Korea Trade Center, West Coast Bonded Logistics Center and Douyin platform. Featuring Japanese and Korean goods, the center leverages the traffic, algorithms and content ecosystem of Douyin to integrate high-quality regional brands and supply chain resources, and provides one-stop services for product selection, exhibition, docking and live streaming. At present, more than 100 brands of Japanese and Korean cosmetics, food, home supplies and other categories have settled in the center, and a cross-border commodity circulation chain of "direct sourcing from origin + platform empowerment + influencer distribution" has been initially established.

In recent years, relying on the multiple advantages of "port + industry + policy", China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone Qingdao Area has explored a new path for integrated development of "industry + e-commerce + live streaming". By strengthening exchanges and cooperation with institutions such as KOTRA Qingdao Korea Trade Center, it continuously expands resources of platforms, talents and supply chains, builds a full-link cross-border e-commerce ecosystem and empowers the digital transformation of the real economy. Based on the positive results of this event, the zone will continue to deepen cooperation with institutions including Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency, further strengthen the cooperation platform, expand cooperation fields, improve communication mechanisms, give full play to the resource advantages of all parties, and continuously create a new situation of win-win cooperation.
