The smart manufacturing valley at the Sino-German Eco-Park in the Qingdao Area of the China (Shandong) Pilot Free Trade Zone (Qingdao FTZ) has received the Golden Award at the 9th New Driving Force Summit in Beijing. Among 129 industrial parks in 27 cities nationwide, the valley was recognized for its contribution to emerging industries.

Since its establishment in May 2022, the valley has focused on high-end industries, such as smart manufacturing, integrated circuits, and advanced equipment. The first phase of the valley, covering 69,000 square meters, has drawn major companies like Besslan and Shengke Nano. These companies have contributed to a growing ecosystem that includes R&D, production, testing, and logistics, creating a comprehensive industry value chain.

The valley benefits from a strong collaborative ecosystem. Situated within the Sino-German Eco-Park, it benefits from the park's platform and links major players like BOE, Foxconn, and Haier Smart Home. It is also fully integrated into Qingdao's Free Trade Zone, providing access to shared resources in technology, talent, and policy support.

The valley's advanced infrastructure is designed to support high-end manufacturing and includes specialized facilities for heavy equipment and large-scale production. It also offers a comprehensive support system aimed at promoting business growth, providing services in talent development, policy support, finance, and logistics.

The second phase of the valley is expected to be finished in the second half of 2026, further strengthening its role as a key player in the development of advanced manufacturing industries.
