To all enterprises and institutions hiring foreigners,

To curb the pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus and facilitate enterprises and public institutions to handle administrative licensing matters, the Qingdao Science and Technology Bureau (Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau) and the Qingdao Exit and Entry Administration Bureau will work together during the period of epidemic prevention and control for foreigners’ work permits, which will be examined and approved remotely on a temporary basis. The staff of the Qingdao Foreign Experts Affairs Bureau will send the scanned copies of all the administrative license decisions and work permits (for new hire, transfer, or supplement) to the email addresses offered by applicants in the letter of commitment on remote approval. Therefore, accurate email addresses are required as the documents will not be mailed for the time being. Each enterprise or institution needs to print the documents and handle residence permits at the Qingdao Exit and Entry Administration Bureau. End time of the above provisions will be notified after the epidemic is over.

If it is necessary for the applicant to go to the service window in person for special cases, appointments should be made in advance. The applicant can go to No. 2 window on the first floor of the Talent Center at the designated time after making an appointment. Please wear a mask and take the body temperature test when handling the business. The hotline for appointment at the service window is 0532-66711728. Telephone appointment service will be provided from February 3, and we’ll answer all the questions related to work permits in China.
