The “Robot-Intelligence-Circle” AI Innovation Alliance was established jointly by Sino-German Ecopark and excellent enterprises, scientific research institutions, colleges and universities at home and abroad, including Siemens, Aucma, Qingdao University of Science and Technology and CDHAW of Tongji University. Now, it has 71 members. Focusing on AI and robot industry chain collaboration, the Alliance is geared to creating a platform for exchange and cooperation and engaging in intelligent manufacturing R&D, application, industrialization, education and training, so as to form a mutual-benefit community for its members. “Robot-Intelligence-Circle” has two meanings. Firstly, it refers to a robot and AI ecosystem where the Alliance could focus on R&D, application, talent introduction, education and training and industrialization of AI and robot industry chains based on existing enterprises and resources, to promote intelligentization of high-end industries, foster new growth drivers for intelligent manufacturing, and energize innovation and development. Secondly, it refers to an opportunity sharing circle where the Alliance could seize strategic opportunities of pooled excellent resources, inter-company cooperation and growth in the new era, make full use of innovation resources of Siemens and other entities from all over the world to provide technical support, rely on Qingdao University of Science and Technology, Tongji University and other scientific research forces to provide scientific research support, and draw on governmental guidance mechanisms to provide platform and talent education support, so as to reduce R&D costs of, stimulate innovation vitality of and provide expansion opportunities for enterprises “within the circle”.
