June 21, on the 6th-year occasion of the official construction of Sino-German Ecopark, the 5th Meeting of the Sino-German Ecopark International Consultant Committee was held in Sino-German Ecopark. With the theme of "benchmarking development demands of German enterprises in China to comprehensively promote business environment of the park", extensive, scientific and rigorous discussion, demonstration and policy advisory were implemented in the meeting. 20 senior consultants of the both parties and special guests attended the meeting in total.
This meeting was jointly hosted by Dr. Wiesheu and ambassador Lu Qiutian to make a summary report on the development and performance of the park since the 4th meeting of the Sino-German Ecopark International Consultant Committee. Over the past year, based on building a Sino-Germany benefit community and with the objective of creating a world-leading park, the Sino-German Ecopark has cultivated core supporting industries, enhanced construction of ecological civilization and deepened openness and cooperation to the outside world, achieving new progress and breakthrough for the development of the park.
Sino-German Ecopark Management Board, Qingdao West Coast New District Department of Natural Resources, Beijing Tsinghua Tongheng Planning & Designing Institute and Qingdao Urban Planning & Designing Institute jointly released the Construction and Development Plan for Park City of the Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone (Sino-German Ecopark) in the meeting. Mr. Yuan Xin, the vice president of THHSCG, president of Beijing Tsinghua Tongheng Planning & Designing Institute and vice chairman of China Association of City Planning introduced the meaning and innovative products for the construction and development planning preparation of the park city in detail. This release marks the implementation of the construction planning practice project of the first park city in Northern China, which responds a higher demand for city development in new age and is significant to promote the construction of the park's ecological civilization and to satisfy the development requirement of economic society in new era.
Consultants thought that as the practice zone of the five major development concepts, the park has good and rich natural ecological resource and regional advantages, complete elements of mountains, water, forests, farmlands, lakes and grass, meanwhile, the park is nearby the mountain and the sea and has basic conditions of building high-standard regional demonstration zone for the construction planning of the park city. The construction and development planning of the park city embodies the combination of nature and humanity, conservation and development as well as macrocosm and microcosm, which is scientific, theoretical, practicable and forward-looking to fit quality development, furthermore, the park highlights a harmonious, livable and healthy city form of "human, city, environment and industry", which has strategic importance to lead the sustainable development of the park comprehensively.
In the meeting, with the title of Front Report: Hope and Aim of Enterprise Development, Kerstin Kaehler, the general manager of the Qingdao German Enterprise Center made related presentations specific to the primary concerns of German enterprise for the investment of the park. Afterwards, consultants had a discussion on annual development of Sino-German Ecopark, and gave advice and suggestions in terms of the point on how to further promote the business environment of the park.
Consultants considered that Sino-German Ecopark has achieved rapid development and got earth-shaking changes over the past few years. Compared with other industrial parks, Sino-German Ecopark should keep and continue to carry forward own features, thus gradually forming an internationized and distinctive industry system. In addition, by bringing in a dual-system vocational educational system, university-industry cooperation and other ways, the park strengthens the training of the professional and technical personnel to promote comprehensive management quality of the park and push the development of the park. In the aspect of government-enterprise cooperation, both parties should open information channels, thus making enterprises knowing related policies and other effective information real-timely and conveniently to optimize the business environment of the park.
Since its establishment, Sino-German Ecopark International Consultant Committee have collected more than 200 expert's advice, which has great significance for Sino-German Ecopark to smoothly achieve the objectives of the preset energy-conservation &environmental-protection and sustainable development strategies. The expert opinions taken in the meeting and the formed extensive consensus offer an important reference for the investment invitation to German, sustainable development and construction of Sino-German Ecopark, promote greater progress for the economic & cultural cooperation and exchanges to German, thus boosting the park to step into a new and high step during the implementation of development strategy of an international city.
Currently, Qingdao is comprehensively building and opening a modern, vigorous and fashionable international metropolis. Facing the new situation, new start and new target, Sino-German Ecopark will carry forward the spirit of "second pioneering work" to further build up an idea of "making progress by the innovator only, being stronger by the innovator only and achieving a success by the innovator only", and the park will strive to forge ahead more and make opening & innovation more to build a world-leading ecological park and to make contributions to Sino-German cooperation together with Sino-Germany friendly personage concerning and supporting the development of the park.
