BGI Qingdao Hospital

The construction of a Grade 3 Class A hospital in Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone has started this year. BGI Qingdao Hospital is jointly built by BGI Shenzhen, Shenzhen BGI Medicine, Qingdao International Economic Cooperation Zone (Sino-German Ecopark) Administrative Committee and West Coast Investment Promotion Co., Ltd. The hospital covers a land area of about 81 mu. It will be built according to the standards of Grade 3 comprehensive hospital. It will carry out reform on the traditional hospital model and bring in several gene technologies and prioritizes the development of oncology, maternal and children care, cardiovascular department and high-end health management. It is expected to be China’s first class future hospital that enjoys worldwide prestige with four integrated functions including medical services, education, research and disease prevention.
