2020 Qingdao Lunar New Year Reception for Foreigners Residing at Qingdao” was held at Qingdao Sea View Garden Hotel on January 10, 2020. Xue Qingguo, vice mayor of Qingdao, addressed the reception.

On behalf of Qingdao municipal government, Xue Qingguo expressed appreciations to the positive contributions the foreigners who reside in Qingdao and wish them a joyous Year of Rat.

2019 is an extraordinary year in the development history of Qingdao and is a year that bears great importance in the opening-up process of Qingdao. The foreign communication and friendship of Qingdao continue to expand and Qingdao has 79 sister cities across 41 countries in the world, said Mr. Xue.

In the new year, we will continue to build the city into a new strategic hub of the national opening-up northern of Yangtze River and construct Qingdao into an international metropolis featuring opening-up, modernness, vitality and fashion, Xue Qingguo added.

He urged the foreign friends to continue to help Qingdao open up and make proposals for the economic and social development of the city. Qingdao Municipal Government will continue as usual to maintain a good working and living environment to share new development opportunities and to embrace a bright future together.
